Engineering and Construction and Expertise
Our customer's projects may require plant modifications, specialized equipment, or both. We are prepared to handle such special manufacturing needs promptly and efficiently.

ChemDesign can accommodate any major plant expansion required by product volume, including the dedication of units or an entire processing building to a single project. We cooperate fully with the customer to reach a mutually agreeable arrangement for funding modifications and expansions.

But it's the quality of our people -- their expertise and dedication -- that allows our superb facilities and state-of-the-art equipment to meet the needs of our customers. Our research and development staff includes:
  • Process chemists and chemical engineers who are experienced and innovative, able to identify and implement the optimum process for the manufacture of any chemical compound.

  • A skilled technical staff to review all aspects of product manufacture, ensuring the implementation of a highly efficient, cost-effective process that meets or exceeds our customers' expectations.

  • An assigned project manager from our Marketing and Product Services group to oversee the close collaboration between our professional staff and our customers' product/process experts during all phases of the project, from process design and optimization through pilot manufacturing and final production.

Pilot Manufacturing
Pilot manufacturing has proven to be an important aspect of the research and development process at ChemDesign. Pilot programs generate engineering design data and help define and perfect the manufacturing process.

Our modern, fully equipped Pilot Plant facility includes stainless steel and glass-lined reactors supported by a full complement of distillation, extraction, separation and drying equipment providing a high degree of flexibility. Fully instrumented, these reactors permit operation over a wide range of conditions and also allow us to handle small-scale production.

Quality Control and Assurance
We understand that defining meaningful quality control methods is an integral part of both product characterization and process development. With our expertise in analytical chemistry, ChemDesign's experienced professional staff can develop and optimize analytical methods, or oversee the implementation of your analytical methods, to measure and control processes and verify product quality.

We develop a Quality Plan for every product addressing key topics such as raw material procurement and inspection, in-process quality requirements, detailed "batch sheet" manufacturing instructions, final product quality requirements, and packaging, storage and delivery requirements.

Our Quality System provides that up-front quality assurance is designed into the manufacturing process long before production start-up.

The Quality System at ChemDesign has been registered by Underwriters Laboratories to be in compliance with the ISO 9002 international quality standard.
